Poster Analysis
The target audience is probably people who enjoy action
films a lot and have enjoyed the film ‘X- MEN: FIRST CLASS’ because the
director who is directing Kingsman the secret service also directed that film
as well. People would also be attracted to the film because it features actors
like Samuel L. Jackson who is very well liked by audiences of the films he is
in, other actors such as Colin Firth who has been in a lot of movies and has
been acting for a long time. Other things in this poster that could attract
audiences would be things like explosions and the helicopter. The age group for
the target audience would probably be teenagers considering this is an action
film and the genre action is one of the most popular genres amongst teenagers
so a lot of teenagers might enjoy this, it is also a spy film as well. Another
thing that could attract people would be that the film is based off the
Kingsman comic book series and if people enjoyed those spy fiction comics then
they might enjoy the film spin off.
The film is a comedy so it is aimed at people who enjoy a
funny movie and like to have a laugh with friends or family whilst watching it.
Another thing that attracts people to watch a film is a unique selling point
and in this film’s case it would be Adam Sandler and he is well known for doing
films that have done really well and got a lot of viewers such as
‘you don’t
mess with the zohan’ and other films as well. All the other main actors who
have their names at the top of the poster too are also well known so a lot of
people will be wanting to watch this comedy film. Something else in the poster
that could attract people to go and watch this film would be that it is showing
them at theme park, meaning they still act like kids and mess around a lot and
have fun, it also shows them going down in a dinghy except for one guy who goes
sliding down the slide without one. The tagline on the poster shows that the
main characters have never grown up from being a kid as they still mess around a
lot. The target’s audience age is probably under the age of 16 because it is
aimed for kids.
Ideas for my film poster
Poster Idea 1
I am choosing idea 3 for my film poster which is a horror film of grim reapers on the wall watching a teenager
Genre: The genre of my film is horror. And the name of my film is Inside the Walls
Name: My main character is called Necro which relates to death or a corpse because when his face is seen in the movie by one of the victims he looks like he is dead and can then attack when they are distracted but it will only happen once because he comes at night and hides in the shadows.
Age: My main character is over 1000 years old because he is a demon from hell.
Interests: My main characters interest is to come out at night from the shadows and take teenagers after he has taken them and ripped out part of their soul he can then become an evil version of them at any time he wants whilst they still live after he has taken their memory away of the night he took them so it is like nothing happened.
Brief Synopsis: In my film the starting scene would be the main evil character when he was a young boy over 1000 years ago and why he is like what he is now. It would then go to the present day where there would be a party where teenagers would be and when one of the teenagers would be leaving the party early they would get hunted by Necro. Then throughout the film more and more teenagers would be taken control of by Necro.
This is the second moodboard above and it is of things that either are in my poster or relate to things in it.
Above is the picture of the guardians of the galaxy poster that I created using stuff from the actual poster but I have moved everything around to make it my own.

Poster Layouts and Colour Schemes
Poster layout 1
Above is the first layout idea for my movie poster. The font for the tagline will be the same as for the actors and the release date. Also for my tagline it will be ' the brick wall will swallow all' instead of ' the brick wall will swallow everyone' because it does not sound as good.
Colour Scheme 1
Poster Layout 2
1 and 2- these two boxes are where the actors names are going to go, they will be in a font where blood is dripping off the letters.
3- this box is going to be where the title of the film goes and the font will be bold. I chose a bold font because I want the title to stand out compare to the other writing on my poster. The title of my film is 'Inside the Walls'
4- this box is where my tagline for my film will go and the font will be quite small but bold so it shows that now warning is given in the film. The tagline for my film is ' The brick wall will swallow all.'
5- this is where the main image will go and the main image is a hooded main with some sort of weapon following a teenager and the background will be a brick wall. The brick wall will be black with images of teenagers the killer has previously taken inside the walls.
6- this is where my credits will go and if a person looking at the poster sees someone they knew in the credits they are more likely to go see the film knowing that they know someone they know
who is good at their job worked on the film.
7-this is where the release date would go and it would be the same font as the actors font with blood dripping off and that shows on that date blood will be shed.
- this is the font that will be used for my release date and actors.
- this is the font that I will use for my film title
Colour Scheme 2
1 and 2- The colour for my actors writing will be black to show that inside every person there is a dark side.
3- The title of my film will be red to show that blood is going to be in this film and that leads to death.
4-The tagline for my film will in white to show that the tagline might not come true.
5- The background of my poster is going to be a dark wall. And the time of the image in the poster will be at night because it is a horror movie poster.
6- The colour of my credits will be grey because I don’t feel like they are relevant to the story line and they are not going to be that big either.
7- The colour for my release date for the film will be a blood red because it sends a feeling that blood will be shed on this date.

My title will consist of two colours one being black and the
other being white, I chose black for more than just half to say at the start
darkness overpowers the light and I Chose to use some white to show there is
hope.
My main image which will be a brick wall but it will but
because the man following the teenager comes out from the shadows so it will be
a grey/black colour.
The colour of my tagline will be blood red as well because
the taglines relates to death.
The colour for my actors writing will be white because I
feel that there needs to be some white to show there is hope and light.
The colour of my credits will be grey because I don’t feel
like they are relevant to the story line and grey shows that it is dull and not
relevant.
The colour for my release date for the film will be a blood
red because it sends a feeling that blood will be shed on this date.
